Home & Hearth™ Glass...
We use Cardinal® IG Glass Units in our windows.
These figures below show this unit provides superior insulating
value for your money. Unlike other window manufacturers, we leave
the glass to the experts.
Figures courtesy of Cardinal®IG.
The lower the U-Factor, the greater the insulation value. Our windows
have the lowest.
Why does this matter?
At Parco, we are sincerely concerned about your
satisfaction. Our selection of only the best materials in our windows,
combined with assembly by some of the most experienced people in
the vinyl window industry, has yielded some of the best results
ever. We prove it through independent testing at Architectural Testing,
Inc. in New Brighton, Minnesota.
Thermal Test Results

Parco Windows exceeded the minimum
requirements of the Energy Star® Program by over 20%!
Air Infiltration Test Results

Parco Windows came in under the maximum
allowable air infiltration requirements of the American Architectural
Manufacturer’s Association by over 50%.

Vinyl for Maintenance Freedom
All of our windows are constructed with rugged,
maintenance-free uPVC (polyvinyl chloride). Unlike wood or metal
windows that can stick when they swell or deteriorate from corrosion,
pitting or rot, vinyl windows never will. Wash them with soap and
water and they’ll look great year-after-year.
Because vinyl’s base color is solid throughout,
you’ll never need to paint or stain these windows. The same
properties that ensure vinyl’s maintenance freedom also allow
window designs that are easy to operate and clean.
Built Tight to Keep Air Out
Air infiltration is a major cause of energy loss.
Our sashes are double weatherstripped. Double hung and sliding windows
feature full meeting rail interlocks. This method of construction
creates a solid barrier to air and water. Home & Hearth™
casement windows are lined with two seals of specially designed
weatherstripping which provides one of the lowest air infiltration
rates in the industry. The low air infiltration rate means windows
prevent drafts and keep you comfortable.
Tests prove that our windows save energy dollars.
In independent air infiltration studies by Architectural Testing,
Inc., our windows rate significantly better than the industry standard
and much better than major wood window brands.
Our Glass System—A Major Advantage
All insulated glass will save energy. Home &
Hearth™ has the edge, however. This technologically advanced
insulated glass spacer system utilizes a unique, U-shaped channel
to separate glass panes—interrupting the natural flow of heat
to cold. This glass is standard on most of our products. It also
reduces the chill that can occur around the glass perimeter which
may cause condensation and puddling.
While most spacer systems use four separate pieces
of aluminum joined together by corner keys, our warm-edge design
is a continuous piece. The result is a stronger, more energy-efficient
insulated glass unit. In addition, the warm-edge spacer’s
unique ability to flex with glass expansion and contraction ensures
a strong seal for the life of the window.
Pargon Glass for Higher Thermal Performance
For maximum energy efficiency, specify optional
Pargon multi-layer, vacuum-
deposition, soft-coat, lowE2 glass filled with argon gas. This gives
the center of the glass an R value of 4.35 and offers protection
from the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. LowE2 glass is up
to 40% more energy efficient than other types of lowE glass—and
up to 50% better than ordinary insulated glass. And since Pargon
also blocks more of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, it
will help protect furniture, carpet and drapes from fading while
letting plants thrive.
